Gary started in 1978, as an Auto Technician with his father-in-law Harold Jim Lease in his business, ”Jim’s Auto Repair”. Gary attended York Vo-Tech in the evenings to learn the basics of automotive repair where he obtained his state inspection license. He attended Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Technology. Gary also attended HACC for the GM Certified Training in many different areas of automotive repair. Yearly he attends continuing education courses through many sources in the industry. In addition, Gary attended Horizon Management Program and other Business Management courses designed to operate independent automotive repair facilities. Gary purchased the business in 1994 from his father-in-law and continues to manage the business today. Gary is ASE certified in Engine, Electrical, Performance, Brakes and Source Writer.
Phuong came to Jim’s Auto Repair through Central York High School in their work study program in his Senior Year of 2003. Hired full-time that summer he is trained in basic auto repair and is becoming certified for the State Inspection Program. He worked until 2005 and decided to work in a dealership to obtain further training. He was employed at Apple Chevrolet for 3 years and obtained valuable training in the GM Certified Training Program. He returned to Jim’s Auto Repair in January 2008 and now specializes in our front-end alignments and all general auto repairs. Phuong continues to training through Bill Fulton and NAPA tech and is also a Certified Emission Technician.
Dale started working for Jim’s Auto Repair in 2001. Dale came with a background in Automotive A/C and Electrical Repair. Dale has been trained in all areas of repair through Bill Fulton and NAPA-tech and many other training facilities. Dale is a Certified Inspection and Emission Technician as well as being MAC Certified and ASE Certified in heating and A/C. Dale is our lead technician and also our Diagnostic Performance Tech.
Dave started his career at Jim's Auto Repair in 1966 as a Junior at York Vo Tech pursuing Automotive Mechanical. He graduated in 1968 and continued on Full-Time till 1978. Dave then pursued his career as a Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic. He worked at Mason Dixon, Consolidated Freight and Yellow Trucking companies all while still working Part-Time for us. He retired from the Trucking Industry in august of 2009 and now works Part-Time for us. Dave is Certified State Inspection Mechanic and has a Class 2 Drivers License. Dave is our lead technician and also our Diagnostic Performance Tech. Dave is our 'DO IT ALL PERSON'.
Brad Bankos graduated from York Suburban High School in 2000 and then attended Indiana University of PA graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors degree in Business with Concentration in Marketing. He is a member of the TA CHI Fraternity, Epsilon ETA Chapter. He was hired by all risk LTD as a marketing specialist of public livery until being laid off in 2010. Brad started working for Jim's Auto Repair part time in October of 2010. He is pursuing his licenses for State Inspection and Certified Marketing Aspects of our Business Management of Automobile repair Facilities. Brad will all pursue Education in Service Writing to eventually take over the customer relations and business ventures of Jim's Auto Repair.
